• It works for Compaq Presario 1020 notebook, too. A fresh install of Win98 failed to detect the modem, each time came as an Unknown Device. Make sure you delete this entry from Device Manager before running this file. Thanks a bunch, driverguide!Aurel+Zidaru
• Had no difficulties at all in using this driver with my modem. My modem was scavenged from an old HP computer and when I installed it in the new machine and set it up with this driver it was running at maximum speed. Another hit in the driver download department!Larry
